Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Skygauge collects and how it uses it. We keep it short deliberately.

1. Anonymous use

You can use Skygauge without signing in. In anonymous mode we do not collect any personal information. We do log basic request metadata (timestamp, IP, path) for abuse prevention and aggregate usage analytics; these logs are auto-purged after 30 days.

2. Account data

If you create an account, we store your email (for sign-in), an optional name and organization, and any analyses you explicitly save to your account. We do not sell or share this data with third parties.

3. What we don't collect

We do not use third-party trackers or advertising cookies. Our analytics (Umami) is self-hosted and cookieless — it records aggregate page views without a per-user identifier.

4. Google Maps

Map tiles, Places autocomplete, elevation, and Street View are served by Google. Your interactions with those services are subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Your rights

You can export your saved analyses and delete your account at any time from your profile page. Deleting your account removes your profile and all associated saved analyses within 24 hours.
